Camp Placid is available year around to churches, family groups, youth groups, and any non-profit organization.

This camp offers a swimming pool, picnic pavilion for 120 people, gas grills, outdoor pavilion chapel, fishing in the pond, 
paddle boats, volleyball, basketball, 
horseshoes, various hiking trails, 
children's playground, swings, 
campfires and hayrides.  


There is a modern air conditioned fully equipped kitchen/dining hall to seat 
approximately one hundred people. The kitchen/dining hall area is handicapped 
accessible.  The three duplex style 
cabins sleeps a total of 92 campers.  




Most activities and retreats are scheduled 
by reservation only and in advance.  The types of activities are; church retreats, 
family reunions,  workshops, training 
programs, youth and senior activities, 
day camps, church  and non-profit 
sponsored events.

Camp Placid is not officially rented until a full   deposit is received.  A  receipt of your deposit and contract will be mailed to the responsible party.  This will be your confirmation of the dates     
reserved.

Swimming pool and pavilion rental are available
at the above rates with a $100.00 rental fee 
minimum.  Please note that a lifeguard is not 
provided  and swimmers do so at their own risk.

Tent camping is available at the rate of $7.00 per person.  RV camping with no hook-up is available. 

For rental of the Dining Hall/Kitchen ONLY or catering please call the camp office for more 
information.

These rules are outlined for your group.  While on the property of Camp Placid we trust you    will respect the rules.  By signing the Camp agreement you will be affirming to 
respect these rules. 

Activities
Camp Placid is a Christian campground, all 
activities that take place should reflect 
Christian values.

Alcohol
Absolutely no alcoholic beverages  allowed on camp property.

Pets
No pets allowed on camp property

Fires
Camp fire is allowed in designated areas only.

Firearms
No guns, bow/arrow and fireworks are allowed on camp property.

Smoking
No smoking in buildings, if you must smoke be considerate of others.

Telephones
There are two phone to be used in case of 
emergency only. Long distance is not available.

Water
No swimming in the lake or pond.

Text Box: Directions to Camp Placid

From Bristol go south on I-81 to Rt. 394 and go toward Blountville.  In Blountville turn right onto Rt. 126 and go to Rt. 75.   Turn left onto Rt. 75 and go to Camp Placid Rd. on left.  Turn on Camp Placid Rd. to camp on right just  beyond the pond.
From Tri-Cities Airport take Rt. 75 north to Camp Placid on right.  Turn on Camp Placid Rd. to camp on the right, beyond the pond.
