What to bring?

Campers are encouraged to bring anything that will prepare them to learn about Christ, while having fun in the outdoors.  Some common recommendations are:

  • Bible
  • Bedding (sheets, blankets, pillow)
  • Toiletries (towels, soap, toothbrush, etc.)
  • Clothing (for various temperatures; swim suit, tennis shoes, jacket, boots, etc.)
  • Close-toed shoes
  • Flashlight

What NOT to bring?

  • Clothing that does not reflect Christian values (bikinis, short shorts, halter tops, etc.)
  • Electronics (cell phones, iPods, etc.)
  • Weapons (pocket knives, guns, etc.)
  • Alcohol/drugs or any clothing that promotes these

What does camp start and end?

  • Camps start at 3 PM on their start dates
  • Camps end at 10 AM on their end dates

Who are the leaders?

Our camps are staffed with dedicated and passionate volunteers. Our volunteer camp leaders are gospel-centered men and women from all around our district. Both of our camps operate on a 1:5.5 ratio with at least two leaders per cabin. For information about becoming a leader, visit our volunteer page.

Do you offer financial assistance?

Yes! Both Camp Carmel and Camp Placid offer financial aid through scholarships and/or sponsorships. Contact the camp manager or camp director to learn more.
